Q: I am looking for a particular breed and would like to know what breeds are available this season?
A: Please visit our Price List page to find out what breeds are available this season. If the breeds you are looking for are not on the list, they are either sold out or not available at this time. Please subscribe to our newsletter and we will let you know once the breed becomes available. If you scroll down to the end of this page, you will find our newsletter subscription form.
Q. We would like to get on the list for 3 chicks. How do we order birds from you?
Please fill out an order form and send in a deposit so we can put your order in the queue. Once you submit the order form, you will receive an automated email with instructions on how to send in payment. Below is a link to our order form page:
Q: I have an existing order in the queue. When do you anticipate being able to meet me for delivery? I just want to be prepared for the chicks' arrival.
A: We fill orders on a first come, first served basis. There is usually a 3 to 8 week lead time to fill orders. There is a growing waitlist for certain breeds that may increase the lead time but our farm manager Matt plans to hatch every 10 days once the hens are in full production to expedite orders. We will coordinate closer to the date your birds are ready. Once they are ready, we will not prepare them for the meet-up until we get confirmation from you that you are ready for the birds.
Q. Can you let me know when my chicks are coming in the mail? I am just worried I will be at work or on a trip when they arrive at the post office.
A: We will give you heads up when your birds are close to ready for shipping. We will not ship unless we hear back from you or receive confirmation from you that you are ready for the birds.
Q. When are POL hens or older pullets available? Can I pre-order?
A. We are only accepting pre-orders for chicks and juvenile pullets. Please just check in with us later in the season if you are looking for POL hens or young laying hens since we are not accepting pre-orders or reservations for these older birds at this time. POL hens or young laying hens will be available in limited quantity later in the year, around fall. We operate on a first come, first served basis.
